15.000.000 lines of Linux code

Imagine that the first number was 10.000 and now we are talking about 15.000.000 BUT still it's blazing fast and one of the best operating systems ever. I am talking about the new Linux kernel that has fifteen million lines of code and that's at least impressive. When Linus Torvalds first announced Linux 1.0.0, he had written 10.000 lines of code [which of course is amazing for one and only person] but compare it with 15.000.000 code lines inside new kernel and you realize that the progress from 1994 until 2011 was unbelievable for an open source project. Is it too complex? Only future can tell. The only sure thing is that software ISNOT simple any more.
